My experince with AktivHealth

Recently, I happened to had one session with AktivHealth at their Gurgaon centre. Their team head Mr.Surya who was the young, super energetic expert took the lead. Interactive session with him was the real life changing experience for me. That was the time when I can firmly say, that physiotherapy is much more technical and is a wider useful technique available which we as layman hardly know. Imagine, how would you react when someone tells you, that with the help of Physiotherapy you can do weight loss. Enterting into their studio with gym lookalike machines, I pop up this question to Mr.Surya that what is the difference between Gym & Physiotherapy centre? That day I came to know that the most famous term “Tennis Elbow” which ace crickter Sachin Tendulkar made famous was a muscle problem which was cured by physiotherapy. According to this young expert, Gym trainer has limitations and know basics about how to gain or loose muscles. But they dont know how to get injured person work out, or how to work on the particular required area or muscle for cure but the physiotherapist knows each and every muscle by name and can make u workout even the person is injured to cure or to make him exercise for fitness like sportsman. After all this discussion, he had a check list they usually start with their client. He made me did couple of exercises like balancing on the ball with eyes open and closed, squads, planks. Also he did observe my muscles by checking my posture while standing and while lie down. After done with this observation, he did the best which I was eagerly waiting for. By made me lie down, he strecheed my upper body & whoa so many sounds of cracks echoed in the room which was the signal of relaxing of my stiff back muscles. He also trained me for few exercise which will help me in the relaxing back muscles so relief in back pain. It was the complete one hour sesssion. The difference between the other physiotherpay centres and AktivHealth is almost the same difference you feel when you take a head massage at home from a family member or at some well known salons/parlours brand from an expert. In 2010, Sandeepa Dhar made her cinematic debut in Rajshri Production’s Hindi film Isi Life Mein opposite actor Akshay Oberoi. Sandeepa’s upcoming films include ” Gollu aur Pappu” produced by Viacom 18 co starring Kunal Roy Kapur and Vir Das of Delhi Belly fame. She has been signed for a 3-film deal with Viacom 18.

Sandeepa is currently playing the female lead in an international musical called “West Side Story” produced by the Australian Dance Theatre(ADT). Her character name is Maria who is a hopeless romantic and an innocent Puerto Rican young girl. She falls in love with Tony and finds herself at the centre of the violent conflict between the two gangs. The musical is inspired by Willian Shakespeare’s play Romeo and Juliet. So far the musical has been staged in eight countries which include Japan, Philippines,Indonesia,Australia and New Zealand with over 100 shows.

Happy Women‘s Day! To celebrate this Women’s Day today, we are featuring one of the most beautyful woman, who made India proud by winning the title of prestigious Mrs.World in 2001. Besides being a doctor she is also a renowned super model & a talented actor. We all know this charasmatic woman. Meet Dr. Aditi Govitrikar.

Dr. Aditi Govitrikar is an Indian supermodel and actor. From 1997 until 2004, Dr. Govitrikar was among the highest-paid models in India. She remains the only Indian supermodel with a medical doctor and psychologist qualification. She has been touted by Business Today magazine as “Beauty with Brains”. She is a vegetarian and ardent Vipassana practitioner.

She won the Gladrags Supermodel Contest in 1996 and the Gladrags Mrs. India in 2000 subsequently winning Mrs. World contest in 2001. Dr. Govitrikar remains the first and the only Indian woman to have won the Mrs. World title.

Dr. Govitrikar ventured into acting when she played the lead role in Thammudu (1999), a movie that was a runaway hit. She went on to act in many movies including Paheli (2005) India’s official entry to the 79th Academy Awards and De Dana Dan (2009) that won an award at the International Indian Film Academy Award. She also played a leading role in several super hit music videos such as Kabhi to Nazar Milao by Adnan Sami and Asha Bhosle (1997) and Aaeena by Jagjit Singh (2000).

Dr. Govitrikar launched PETA in India and has also endorsed top tier international brands such as Coca Cola (with Hritik Roshan), Chopard, Fendi and Harry Winston, Clinic All Clear (with Saif Ali Khan). A plethora of Indian brand endorsements included Dabur Vatika, Pond’s, BPL Group, Rexona, Surf, Margo soap.

Dr. Govitrikar graduated as a medical doctor from Grant Medical College, Mumbai ‒ India. Over the last couple of years, she decided to study the human mind that led her to become a certified Counsellor in Robert Carkhuff model and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Recently she completed her post-graduation in Counselling from Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a Master’s degree in Psychology from Indira Gandhi National Open University. She is also pursuing a post-graduate degree in Positive Psychology from Harvard University.
